Alarm problem has happened to me twice. First time tried to start car with alarm sounding and car locked down and had to be towed to dealer. Second time, with alarm sounding, popped the hood and with a #5 wrench, removed the battery cables. Alarm stopped and replaced after a minute, car started up and key fobs both worked. Who knows!! I carry the wrench iin the pocket of the drivers door just in case.
