I was teaching my brother how to drive a manual and was having him practice starting and stopping when going up a steep hill/incline. I had him do this about 10 times. It was after this when the smell started.

Now the smell occurs even while idling. I will start it up in the morning and see if it goes away. Does anyone have any suggestions on what it might be?
It slips once every so often, but not every time I drive it which is usually daily. So Id say once a week at most.
