Thanks to Adrian_X
I recently had my headlights restored

I removed the eyebrows and then he wet sanded the lights and buffed and polished them
Once complete he sprayed the clear coat over the lens to protect from UV rays
Hopefully this will last a few years
Mine is an 04 and this was the first time the lights were restored

Eyebrows reinstalled

They look great. Almost as good as mine! Mine, lucky for me, still look like new. 04 as well. Been very lucky. I wax them as well. Everyone that sees my headlights is astonished to know they haven't had to be restored.

Nice lenses. I am so "On The Fence" as to whether "eyebrows" are cool or funky looking...

Over the weekend I did my annual oil change on my '05 Roadster (just 27,000 miles on the clock, hence the "annual" part) but also changed oil in the '04 Coupe. So, yeah, 4 gallons of oil in one day!!!!

I also swapped out the steering damper on the '04 Coupe and, wow, what a difference!! 81,000 miles on that car and, after buying it used last year, I was always kind of surprised that my Roadster just felt so much more solid than my Coupe. That just shouldn't be. Well, let me tell you, everything folks have been saying about putting a new steering damper being so awesome is true. And it was just so easy and cheap to do. If you're on the fence about this, get off it. Do it.

Likewise for my 2007 Coupe. Every 6 months, I apply Meguiar's PlastX™ Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish to the headlights, foglights & taillights. They still look like new.

Fog lights have glass lenses, no advantage to be seen there. Just wash them with the car with soap and water and add some protection with some 3M or similar clear film.

Really never paid much attention to this fact. Learned something new today.

Took the front tire/wheel set off the car this morning and cleaned the inside surface of the rims. Got all the brake dust scrubbed off, cleaned down inside the spokes and removed the old adhesive from the previous balance weights. Rims were really dirty! I'll take the rear set off tomorrow morning & clean them.

Trying to take advantage of cooler morning temps (80-85F) before the afternoon scorcher starts. Been over 90+F here going on 4 weeks without any significant rainfall. We're hovering around 100F the past 3-4 days.

You got nearly the entire front clip repaired/repainted after the deer incident at CAA-6 last year and now the headlights are restored. The car is nearly brand new again! A keeper!

It comes with double stick tape already applied. I cleaned the engine cover with goo gone to remove any oil or silicon product. I put it on Saturday but I have not run the engine yet, probably won't till this coming Saturday. I will see how it holds after that. To be a honest I am expecting it to come off once it's exposed to the under hood beat. I will come up with a plan B at that point.

Looks nice! Hope it doesn't 'come off' with the heat. If it does, you might not be able to find it.

I am not a big fan of eyebrows but they would be improved immensely if the inside tip lined up with the hood and not the bumper cover.
The top surface of some do not sit flush with the top side of the hood.

Thought I would start getting ready to do a complete brake system fluid flush. Ordered a set of Speed Bleeder screws. (Note: I've used these before when I had Merkur XR4Ti's & they are slick!) Ordered the set for the 2001-2004 M-B SLK320. Speed Bleeder website doesn't list screws for the Crossfire.

Backed these up with a set of SS brake lines from NeedsWings.com. Should have everything by middle of next week.

Took the car to the car and coffee this morning. When I got there and opened the hood that $10 MB star was still attached to the engine cover. So far so good, it actually seems pretty secure.

Was invited to display at the Concours d'Elegance cars & coffee this morning. Lots going on; Concours, Barry Meguiar, Sotheby's silent auction, design heads of FCA, Ford, GM, etc.... Here's a pic of my poor car parked in the overflow area:

Apparently this red Lancia is a world famous Monte Carlo rallye car and drew quite a crowd:

Saw a nice red Xfire coupe by the Ferrari tent; belong to anyone here?

Also, talked with the developers of this website, which is in its early stages, but shows a lot of promise... www.diyauto.com

The xfire is needed for daily driver duty at least through Wednesday. I am having the leather on the drivers seat of the wifes Mazda 6 repaIred. Little to no rain expected until Wednesday pm so it shouldnt be a problem.

Removed faulty "new" alternator on the "Rescue SRT", replaced screws under the black SRT holding two separate plastic covers that were sagging and had somehow disappeared.
