Here is the story...I decide to fix the valve cover leak on my N/A. So I get everything torn down and its super clean under the valve covers, no sludge or dirty oil, just the new clean stuff. Then I get this bright idea..lets get the valve covers powder coated to give it a little bling. Well I have my girlfriend drop them off at the powder coaters and I tell the guy what color I want and he says no problem they will be ready Friday. So Friday comes and goes, I try to call him Sat. no answer, one lines not working and the other goes to VM. Monday comes and we decide to drive by and see whats up. No one there!!! Office looks cleaned out from what I can see...bare floors. Guy wont answer..WTF. I find a number to the leasing company that leases out these buildings and she tells me he is about to get evicted..WTF +1. Now I am seriously thinking about breaking in to this building to see if my valve covers are still in there. Anyone maybe have an extra set lying around?

 

I do, and I'll cut them at a deal for you too.

 

And sorry to hear, that's pretty messed up stuff.

 

Thinking there is a powder coated set in the for sale section..

You might check with the leasing company and tell them your situation. They may let you into the shop to see if your stuff is still there ... no reason to add a B&E charge to your week

I was having them done in Red. But at the moment anything would be nice just to get to drive her.

 

Not that Max and I really want to miss out on a sale, but since ours aren't painted, and Max would need to rush, you'd probably come out ahead getting the unpainted set from Josh.
We were gonna ask $200 shipped, most likely Josh can do better than that.

Then joy of all joys, you could start the powder coat thing all over again !!!!!!!

 

I need to get the crap gone, so I was thinking $100 shipped lol. Either way it's ok though, valve covers are always in demand.

Update....

So after 2 weeks of trying to catch this guy and get my valve covers we were driving down the road and my girlfriend says that's him!!! I'm like..who, that's the guy with the parts. So we stop short of the light so he can pull up and she rolls the window down and starts yelling at him..where are my parts. The look on his face was priceless. Gotta love Latina girls they don't give a sh $$ , but we did get them at 9pm last night in a shopping center parking lot.

 

And the picture is just the valve cover sitting there, I decided to give it another day plus scandal was on last night...gotta see me some Kerry Washington.

 

Wow, amazing how a bad luck story can end as a good luck story. What are the odds of running into that fellow, by the way they look good.
