100,000 mile club
Re: 100,000 mile club
As a relatively new Xfire forum member, it was refreshing to read the trouble free high mileage stories. Many of our posts deal with problems, so reading this sticky left me very happy to have recently purchased my 05 Ltd roadster. It was 1 owner with only 26K miles, so I've got a long way to go before joining this happy group. I think preventive maintenance is the key.
Re: 100,000 mile club
I'm not sure many here have entered the 100,000 mile club but I'm pleased to announce that today I have. I have had my Crossfire over 8 years and have had no major problems at all I have driven 83,000 miles and have only changed the fuel pump, serpentine belt and CPS. Other than that just regular maintenance which includes brakes, rotors, brake fluid flush, differential oil change, oil & filter changes using only fleece filters and Mobil 1. Also the 100,000 mile spark plug change just last week.
Response to VALK:
Were the fuel pump, belt, and CPS replaced as a matter of necessity, or was it preventative maintenance?

Fuel pump or CPS may have been causing the car to stall so I had Rudy replace both along with a new fuel filter and the issue was resolved
I dont know which part was causing the problem but I figured that I'm gonna keep the car for many more years so do it all and put the worry behind

Next milestone for me will be 22222. Estimate is that occurs around mid-year in 2018 (currently have 18400 on the ODO)! Looks like I need to starting getting ready for this! Yeah, Right! Put it on my calendar!
Like others, really never any issues with the 2007 Coupe other than routine maintenance. Did have the RCM go bad earlier this year, but tighed1 fixed that for me.
Congrats to all those 100k members. Truly a testimonial to the durability & reliability of these cars when routine preventive maintenance is completed when required. Another major factor is the ongoing support of this forum to identify technical issues with cost effective solutions resulting in minimal downtime. Everyone pat themselves on the back!
