I am surprised that Rudy didn't set your fan temp down by 10C like I had done to my last car.

Mine is 100% stock and the needle runs mostly horizontal, sometimes slightly higher in traffic on hot days and slightly lower than horizontal running down the highway on a cooler day.

I run 186 deg w/o AC, 195 with when cruising, 195 / 205 when idling in summer.
In temps below 50, it strains to reach 186, usually around 180.

My temperature gauge needle is usually above the midway mark which equates to a dashdaq reading of 198 to 205º. Ambient is usually around 90º here. It has reached 210º going up the mountain but never at cruise or idle. The race track is another story.

Mine runs a needle above the middle line in weather above high 80's low 90's. When it is within the 70's it is at the middle or sometimes below.

I do have a super cooler on mine which does block the radiator some and im not running a tune or a different thermostat.

I find it odd that on the Volvo sites there seems to be an obsession with removing things that block the air flow to the radiator of turbo charged cars while we seem more to fill up that space with horns, extra radiators and big K and N filters on DCAI systems.

I would at least like to move the horns out of the way.

On topic, on the hottest of days I run needle width above horizontal after a highway run.

Talking Re: what temp does your car run at?

Depends on my speed, slow 20x, if it is cooler out and Iam driving 50+ it drops to 19x with the stat. Our computer controls the fan speed, and i am working on a simple fan fix that is not programmed, so you can dial in the speed MINIMUM and thus set the MINIMUM airflow to better cool the water and MOTOR.

The time is just the issue witht he fall being here and lots to do........wdy
