Default Passenger Window Won't Go Up

So the last few weeks, my passenger window has been making some terrible noises when raising/lowering. I've just been putting it down a few inches in case it got stuck. Today it ended up getting stuck.

I took off the door panel and it's basically impossible to see the mechanism. So my question is, does anyone have a diagram for how it works so I can try and feel it to see what's blocked? I can't seem to find one in the service manual.

It's not the motor/switch, as I can feel/hear the motor trying to activate. The window is stuck about 3-4in from the top of the frame and will only go so far down before it binds up on something.

Any suggestions? I've got a warranty with a 250 deductable I can take it in and have fixed probably, just trying to see if it's worth my time to try and fix it before taking it down to the dealer and be without it for a few days.

The SM doesn't show you anything, it treats it as an assembly.
I didn't know that you had to drill out 2 rivets to remove it !
Now THAT'S getting cheap, they could have just as well mounted it with 10 mm bolts.

If the window regulator is anything like a Mercedes CLK then it can be repaired without replacing the entire regulator as a unit. The replacement parts can be had for $33 on eBay. The kit comes with a new plastic gear and the necessary cables, but the gear will probably need to be trimmed so it will fit on the drive shaft. It is not a fun job, but taking it to a shop for repair gets you quickly into the $700 area. I choose the $33 kit and it works like new. Search eBay and weigh your options.

I just looked at ebay. There is a passenger side window regulator for a Crossfire from a wrecked car for $9.00

Hi zip, might help the guy find it if you could link the url. Just copy/paste the url from the fleabay auction into a post here. After a search (for the link) I could not find it (to help him).

George, your 'searching' (skills) is mucho more advanced than mine. I only found the 61 dollar one but could not find the referenced one earlier so I didn't list it because it might be there and is much cheaper than these you found.
