BTW, did I mention that I'm very picky at how everything looks.

My bad! My Blaupunkt doesn't control the ipod. I have the ipod wire that plugs into the bottom of the ipod (It charges and sends the music to the radio) but I can't control the ipod from the stereo. I ran the wire through the center console to the passenger side. I guess you are right.... your connection is best for people that want to control their ipod from the stereo.
I don't have pictures but other people have posted their own pictures. I have the London MP48. The only problem is the black frame around the outside of the unit. Some people painted it to match the silver but I left it alone. Since our climate controls are black it matches. I was going to paint it (based on the pictures I saw in the forum) until I installed it and saw how it looked in person. I really love the stereo.... but that is just me!
I am glad you came up with a solution. I always knew something was possible.

I saw the connected picture. I want to buy one of these. But want to get a little info what this unit looks like. Is it something that requires me to pull the radio out?
Or goes on the lighter opening? What comes in the box?

This module plugs into the CD-changer port on the back of the radio. The installation is actually quite simple. You remove the radio by simply inserting the radio removal tools into the two slots in the bottom corners of the radio and pulling on them after they latch. You then run the cable that connects to the iPod/iPhone between the carpet and the bottom portion of the center console. After you have that cable routed, you connect the other cable coming out of the module into the CD-changer port above the main wiring harness on the back of the radio. Don't worry as you cannot plug it into the radio incorrectly. After this, you remove the radio removal tools, situate all the wiring behind the radio and reinsert the radio into the dash. On a scale of 1-10 for being easy, it's a 1. It will be completely plug and play and will probably only take you 10 minutes for the install.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you

i think it's a good idea and am glad that someone made one for those who need it. but in my case, i have no use for an iPod and my poor experiences with the factory nav makes this purchase unnecessary.

We're at 2 people so far. Need 8 more before I can start getting everything put together.
Remember, only the first 10 people to order are going to get these for this price. After that, it's $199.99 plus $9.99 insured shipping. This saves you $30.
I honestly can't believe that more people aren't interested in this. Every few weeks you would see someone post asking if they can connect an iPod to the factory radio. Well now you can and suddenly nobody wants one?

Rudy, if it comes down to needing one more, please add me to the list. While I don't need it now because I have the Phatbox, I appreciate the development you've been doing.
