I had the same problem and wrote several threads about the subject. It is solved by 1) replacing the battery and 2) disconnecting the antitheft module in the trunk. Apparently, the antitheft device (below the foam matt in the trunk) was draining by working all the time. Just unplug the electrical harness goes to it, you find the difference in drainage. Good Luck

What time frame are we talking hours, days or weeks?
You should check all the other fuses after checking the fuse #9, put a digital voltmeter set to Ma across the two terminals that the fuse connects. There are posts on this.
Add up all the readings, there is a number (35 Ma) that this should not exceed, I think that is the number mentioned in the link. Some fuses will have no reading and others a small amount which keeps the memory alive etc in some accessories or parts.

Are you SURE the alternator is charging? A simple voltmeter plugged into the lighter outlet will show you if it is. If it is, (and Im sure it is - but since I'm not there, I thought I better mention that) then:

Take a battery cable off, and put a meter in series with it and see for yourself what is REALLY going on.

The manual says that 35 mA, that is, .035 amp, is normal. If you measure more than that, start pulling fuses until the the current goes down - you will isolate it to a single fuse, usually, in no time. THEN the real work may start.

Please email me the bottom line b/c I will probably find this again...that's how bad I am on the computer. So after disconnecting trunk security solved the problem I hope so. I was told that the sensor needs to be reset???? Please give me your info via email at: pstachler@gmail.com
