Default Factory SRT-6 nav head unit (BE 6811) aux input

Hello I have read in multiple threads that the srt-6 factory navigation head unit (BE 6811) can accept a line in auxiliary input through the CD changer input at the back of the headunit. How can I activate the CD changer input on this head unit to enable the auxiliary input cable? I will attach some photos of the wiring I received.

You need a special adapter sold by rcompart here on the forums. I have one and its brilliant but I believe they are no longer available. You could try emailing him.

I tried by using an ipod adapter connected to the aux input on the back of the radio but there is no way to activate the aux on the radio so therefore it doesnt work. I have a nice cable and aux input socket wired in, but waste of time as we cant activate it. The only other way is to buy a Solisto unit:

Solisto Car Audio | Solisto

But dont buy just the cable as it wont work you will have to but the unit as well.

At $200, I might as well buy a modern head unit.

I just purchased another Solisto Extra (no USB) to install in a friends Crossfire and their prices seem to have gone down from when I purchased mine a few years back - plus the dollar is stronger now giving a better exchange rate.

The 30 Euro UPS shipping is a bit much but it arrived four days later and they work great...

Humm I see the Solisto Basic is 49 Euro's - will this work as an auxiliary audio input into my factory SRT Nav head unit?

I am not looking for an iPod/power cable - just a standard phono 1/8 audio input into the factory head unit/sound system.

Thanks.

Hi FUBU, Bluetooth? That's better than aux cable! Does Bluetooth require additional parts/instillation methods? All included in the pro version?

Albert the cable alone will not work, i have already tried that. You need the Solisto Pro only way to go. I cant justify the expense though
