Default new srt-6 roadster

Hi all , new member here.
Well I just bought a Black srt-6 roadster!
i live in northern nsw country high up on tablelands.
The car has to be trucked from Sydney and should arrive here in a couple of days .
i can hardly wait, but i really hope its a good one. ( ive only seen the pics and heard the history)

Anyways ...So glad to finally join in the fun here and on the road .

Cheers!

congratulations! You must have one of the very very few 6 Roadsters left in Australia. Does anyone know how many remain in your country? My estimate is that there are fewer than 700 2005 SRT6 Roadsters left in the USA.

SRT6 roadster finally arrived ! its in very good condition , everything works as it should (a big relief ), interior is perfect, one small door parking lot dent that i will get repaired . The paint needs some love to be perfect but i will see to that.
the soft top rear glass has come away from the canvas in one area , it looks to have been reglued in other places but it needs more ...or a new top depending on cost.
I have spoken to aussiescotty the original owner and he was very pleased it has gone to a good home allthough he said he misses it !
I would too ,it is a Blast to drive , tracks straight , feels tight and handles great , love that sc whine ! it came with a needswings dual intake .
very very lovely car .
im stoked :-)

My mechanics are the local Holden dealer who have serviced my two Holden V8s and Jeep for several years . Anyway they got to change the Mobil oil and filters and give the srt a good checking over today,
All good "Very Tidy unit" was his comment , a slight leak from one valve cover was all. i will get that sorted soon
The service manager also took it for a quick spin , needless to say he liked it ,lurved the blowewr whine

My best mate drove it a few days ago too and he has now gone out and bought an 04 crossfire coupe in a very nice red colour.one lady owner ,95k kms, in beautiful condition .

cant wait to see it !

this weekend as well as driving my srt6 i will fit bass blockers to the door mids, (the bigbang forbuck sound mod } and we will make a start on the paint correction , Duragloss 2 stage is my favourite finish but it needs clay and a cut and buff first.
Ive been shopping for the SRT and there will be some new goodies arriving from the States soon

i love this little beast!

What was thought to be a slight oil leak from a valve cover turned out to be coming from the breather that sits on top,
Strangly 3 easy to get to torx had come loose ( or likely had been intentionally loosened by some crook)
anyway, i tightened them back up and no more oil leak !

:-)

Just reading you problem with oil leak and got myself a Tork set 2 weeks ago to repair my valve cover leak but looks as if mines a oil breather leak as well. just threaded 2 of the Torx screws so given up..good luck but they are soft metal ..'1 use' screws me thinks
