hello S.O.C.O. members,
just a reminder that the Fleetwood Country Cruize-in is on the weekend of june 2-2012.it starts on friday night with frankie vali and the 4 seasons....the main car show is saturday june 2nd. if somebody would like to take this on...it would make the 3rd year in a row that our group has been represented there. it will give some of our new members a chance to socialize ...and see a great car show.

Thanks for the heads up....the date is only two weeks after the Old Hippie Tour, so things are starting to get busy for SOCO! I think all we need to do is all agree to meet early on the Saturday morning at Timmies outside of Woodstock and proceed as a group to the event. Does someone need to contact the organizers and have some reserved space put aside? I may be able to volunteer as the "go to" person but can't commit at this time...

We don't live very far away from each other, only trouble is there is Lake Erie between us and no bridge. "yet?"

I spoke with Steve Plunkett tonight. He is pleased to have us again this year and said that he will make sure we are on the list of vehicles that will be admitted to the Show. He has stressed again, that if we all want to park togther, then we should "show up" together.

Last year we met at the ESSO Station that Beaner had scoped out. I have provided meeting places and times in post # 10 below.

Meeting Place #1 (for those coming from the North, East and South):

6:00am at the Ingersoll Tim Hortons at Hwy 401/ Culloden Road Exit #216.

At approx 6:20am we will leave Ingersoll to proceed to meeting place #2.

Meeting Place #2 (For anyone from the West)

7:00am at the Esso Station @ 1919 Oxford St. West , London

This is our final meeting place and is close to the Event location.
At approx. 7:20am we will proceed to the Event entrance.

Ah you're already on the list so you have to come.
We could move the meeting times an hour back but then we'd probably end up in the back field. Last year we had a choice location.

I'm interested but it doesn't look like I'll be able to go. Too many other commitments over the next couple of months. I'll know better as we get closer.

 

Also, HAL of Barrie will be joining us. Many of you probably met Hal at Woodward 2011.
