...The Cdn Tire flyer for Feb 1st is showing jugs (4.4L) of Mobil 1 on sale for one week. Our 0W40 usually isn't available in the 4.4L size, however the individual litre size will likely be on sale as well....I'm hoping so and will visit my local store Friday or Saturday to find out....

 

Do not hold your breath on that assumption.

 

I phoned my local store today as to not waste my time driving there.....just the 4.4L jugs on sale only, and as we know, 0W40 doesn't come in that size.
The kid on the phone said he always keeps an eye out for the 0W40 sales because "Mom drives a Mercedes Benz"....

 

Canadian Tire has an application for smart phone users that's kinda cool. Not only can you check inventory, shop and view weekly flyers, you can also have it alert you when a specific item of your choice goes on sale. I have mine set to alert me the next time Mobil 1 0W40 goes on sale....

 

yep ....... same here in the west ....... they never seem to have the 0W40 in the 4.4 litre on sale

 

If you visit the Mobil web site, you find that 0W40 does not come in "jug" size (quarts in the states, metric everywhere else on the planet). Mobil continues to say that they have "no immediate plans to make 0W40 in 5 quart size".

 

Then please have them explain how I happen to have 4 of the 5 quart jugs .....

 

Wow...I guess their web site is not telling the truth!!
Will Mobil 1 0W-40 be Available in Jugs?
