The right top. The right colors. The right power. With low, low, low miles.
This may be an opportunity many will regret not taking advantage of.

Someone will buy it sooner or later. I just don't see them as collectors, then again, there are other out there I once owned that I would love to have back....lol
But for $24,900 on a 05

There is still hope for the Crossfire's collectability.

As time passes, that car, those miles, that price - sure. I'm just not sure NOW is 'that time'.

Me too!
I hope he gets close to his asking price.
Re: Lowest Milage Convertible? Black Crossfire SRT6 Roadster w/ under 5,000 miles
Hell, mine are up for sale, but it doesn't mean I will ever get them sold. Just like this guy, I have my reasons for a higher price and I don't have to sell them....so, hopefully he gets it. But, I once tried to park a low mileage Z28, and it didn't go well. Exhaust rusts, seals dry out, and it always seemed to be parked too long for the battery to stay up. Even with tenders, it had it's days. I finally sold it to a collector in TX for a lot less than I thought I would ever get. 10 yrs later, it is still commanding the same price I took....so I would have lost anyway. I feel the same way about my XF's.

Kids buy and wreck them so eventually there will be less Crossfire's on the road. Parts are starting to get hard to come by now. You have to look at how many was made with certain options. He was probably the original owner so he payed full price and has set on this car thinking it was going to go up in value over time. 97 Porche 911 C2S this is a coupe which they only made so many. One thing bad about a forum is a few complain about a vehicle which drives the price down. This car is unique and I see very few on the road. A Chrysler transmission plant is a town over from me and there is maybe 2 cars that go to the plant. So a car is worth what the person is buying it for. These cars could be worth a lot more if it was not for a few dragging it thru the mud.

With all due respect, forum's don't set the value of cars, the market place is responsible for the price.
Forum's can help you decide if a Crossfire is right for your needs. They give good information on - Do it Yourself Repairs - and where to get precious parts for your car.
According to you, Crossfire part inventories should be on the rise with all these kids buying and wrecking them.
And as far as the Crossfire being unique - it is - but that doesn't make it desirable or collectable. The "Car God's" will decide it's place in history and the ultimate final value.
Look at the forum as a friend to all Crossfire owners, they (the owners) are the only group that cares whether your car gives you a smile every time you drive down the road.

Good point and so should only be considered by those that can handle the fastest of colors.

Re: Lowest Milage Convertible? Black Crossfire SRT6 Roadster w/ under 5,000 miles
I just talked with the owner a few minutes ago and while I'm in the hunt for my first SRT6 convertible I just can't see it selling for his asking price.
I'm still on the fence if this will gain in value as time goes on or it they will never be what every owner hopes for. I look at it this way your 70's muscle cars sold hundreds of 1000's, but to find a version that only sold a few hundred new puts it very rare and in high demand. My friend had a 1967 Cadillac DeVille Sedan with only 7k original miles and it could never sell. In the end after 5 plus years I think he only got about $17k for it in 2012. Super car just never had to right mix of buyers. His went to a collector in Germany who never saw the car.
Anyone with a SRT6 in Wisconsin? I have never had the opportunity to drive one yet.
