Default '05 Crossfire SRT- Aero Blue - ONLY 250 miles

Hi All,
If you guys remember this was the car that was on sale back in May with 170 miles on it. I was going to use this as a daily driver but figured I'd put it up for sale for some one who wanted a pristine SRT. I currently have a 04' that i'll continue driving thru the winter. I think I'm going to purchase a new Cayman S after the winter. I didn't wand to subject the car to the elements. The car still has the window sticker on it and floor mats are still in the plastic. I also purchased a Lotus Evora and don't have space to store everything. If you want pictures email me and I'll send them. Only Thing I did was install ceramic brakes. I'm firm on 24k. If I don't get it I'm just going to drive it come October and sell it come next May.
Thanks,
Brian

I think your price is a good one considering the car. I thought mine with 8k miles was low. Sounds like a great car.

Default 04 White/Grey Crossfire Limited-62k Miles, asking 8k

After getting to many low ball offers I've decided to put the car on the road and sell my 04.
I have attached the link. 04' with 62k miles. Car only had 17k miles in November of 2012. Installed ceramic breaks when I bought the car and put new tires on it this May.
Here is the add on Cars.com

In your ad, you forgot to list the mileage. It shows the mileage of when you bought it.

Hi all......does the value of Crossfire's seem to be the same or are they going up in value?
I have a 2005. I don't want to sell mine but was just wondering what they are going for. I realize there are a lot of variables. But this IS a collector car isn't it?

Thanks,

Dianne aka hotwheels

I would say "no" to non srt6 crossfires and "yes" to srt6 roadsters. Last year at this time there were about 7 srt6 roadsters for sale in the US, and a typical price was between $13,500 and $17,500. There was a 48k Aero blue in DC for $16,500, and I bought mine for $13,500. This year, there are only 2 or 3 for sale (not counting retitled salvage) and the (asking) prices are between 1,500 and 2,500 higher for equivalent mileage. September and October are prime selling season for roadsters in general, so it is quite remarkable that there are so few roadsters for sale this year. I think that srt6 coupes are not holding their value as well as srt roadsters, due to much higher supply relatively speaking (2 vs 17 or more).

Hmmmm....is that right? I wonder why. Everywhere I go when I drive my Crossfire, people want to know what it is and where they can get one. It is an unusual car. I assume that in another 10 yrs or so it will be a collector car....but what's your opinion of that? Maybe they sell better in Europe, I dunno. My personal opinion is that the Crossfire looks better than any sports car out there and for the money it's a great buy. But then, I got the Crossie fever

Dianne

I would suggest if Crossfires follow the norm for special interest cars the ten year point is usually the low point.

First and last years of production and roadsters will typically command a significant premium as will low mileage cars and SRT6s. But they are all well made, unique and beautiful cars that should depreciate less than the market itself.

Hi Dianne,

Ok, this is just an opinion, not worth the time to read it. The trouble with the Crossfire is that it just doesn't have that many people looking for it. Yet most people love it when they see it. But if a guy needs to sell in a hurry, the price will drop to below market to attract any buyer, especially if it has high miles. The demand just doesn't meet the supply, with the exception of the SRT6. That being said, I feel the Crossfire has reached or is near it's bottom; sure you may see one, a high mileage non-
SRT6 sell for a couple grand less than what we think is the bottom, but usually those are from someone who just want's it gone and is frustrated with the lack of buyers. I also believe they will start appreciating but probably not for at least another five years. The SRT6's which you were smart in keeping, have a lot more than the regular Crossfire going for them, I believe these are pretty firm where they are at and will appreciate from now on. But all of that is just my opinion and it includes a lot of guessing. Who really knows, it's all in a Crystal Ball.
