$12K seems a little stout for a base SE, but it is a low mileage ragtop and Spring is coming. Hope he gets it.
Those wheels were standard on the SE.

I never understood why the SE pulled more dollars but dealers seemed to list it higher.

The wheels make it look better but it is just a base model.

I put our extra set of SRT wheels on my SSB roadster. Looks great but a royal pain to clean.

07 with low miles, I hope he gets it also.

The SE wheels were painted between the spokes. Major difference between the wheels of the SRT. Made the wheels much easier to clean. IMO

2007 Model looks to be in relatively good shape with low miles. Hope he gets his asking price. Per previous comments, asking price is high from my standards for essentially a base XFire with a few cosmetic add-ons.

No, it didn't IMO. The just didn't look as dirty.

BTW there was also a matching painted strip on the rim.

I just like the look of the SRT rims. reminds me of the Turbine wheels back in the 70's. They were also no fin to clean.

A car is worth what you are willing to pay. $12K is quite possible. But he will likely wait a while to get it. Aside from being a low budget car, the SE's always look sharp. And they drive as nicely as any Crossfire.
For comparison, here is one with more miles and a salvage title at $8700

By comparison,,,; $12 K for a virginal at 23M miles sounds about right

I may have to take some time this week and drive up to Canton, NC to look at this 2007 SE. Road trip would be a nice one in my 2007 Limited Coupe. Only about a 90 minute trip 1-way.

It may just be the poor photos, but that top does not look like it has been treated in some time, I HOPE it is not as faded as it looks. As to the price, well, mine had way less miles on it and was in showroom condition when I bought it for much less last year - in a private sale. He is asking "Dealer Dollars" if you ask me.

Depending on which Used Car Estimator one uses, a retail sell for a car in good condition is about $10k. A Private Sell is anywhere from $7900 to $8400, based on Very Good Condition to Excellent, respectively. Just another Crossfire owner who is proud of their car, which I can't fault. But these cars are no where considered 'collector' class except by us. And we really know the driver behind our ownership fixation with the Crossfire is 'perma-grin'!

Practicality says his/her asking price is way over value. Hope he/she gets their asking price; just won't be from me. Even if I make trip to look at car, my offer (if presented) would be well below the asking price.

Like others have stated, I do like the look of the Special Edition Crossfires, which I put in a 'limited' model series within the Crossfire overall model range. And I remember how good your car looked up close when I first saw it in Eureka Springs last year.

Later,

For years I always referred to Edmunds as an objective source for real world values whether buying or selling. Sadly once they were acquired some of that objectivity and accuracy seems to have been lost (I was of the impression Edmunds was acquired but appear to be in error regarding that. They did form a closer alliance with dealers some time back and TMV, in my opinion, became less objective and useful since that time).

On my last two car purchases I paid well over Edmunds without regret. I both priced and sold my last Volvo in days (with two back up buyers) and daughter's Miata well above it. With uncommon cars meant for a limited market it ain't like putting a value on a Sentra. The beyond all options V70R manual AWD did not have many comparables if any but the common Miata did. For it I factored in all listings that were similar on three or four search engines, both asking and selling prices on eBay and came up with an objective real world value. It was above Edmunds. The buyer and the daughter both were satisfied.

I do not know this particular car but the first Crossfire I considered was its near twin. Pretty car.
