Washed and waxed... finally took a picture or two :)
Washed and waxed... finally took a picture or two :)
this poor crossfire stood around for seven months in the bitter outdoors waiting to go to a good home so it had plenty of swirl from being washed in haste by the dealership and some kind of white dotting as if from air borne paint...
so i had some time over the weekend to break out the meguiar's cleaner wax and give it a coat... looks better now, but still needs some more TLC so next weekend i will give it another coat...
these are also the first shots i have of the ADR M-Sport 18" wheels with spacers in the rear ... i'll measured and cut the bolts to the size i needed for the rear over the weekend, it was tedious work to do that kind of micro surgery so that the threads would come out perfect ... i'll post the tire/wheel combo in the tire/wheel section later or you can get it from the description in my gallery.
anyone else do some work over the weekend ?

Wheel specs:
ADR M-Sport
18 x 8.5 front on 235/40/18 Continental Extreme Contact (.3" taller)
18 x 9.5 rear on 275/40/18 Continental Extreme Contact (.7" taller)
No spacers in the front, 20 mm hubcentric spacers in the rear. Needed shorter bolts up front and longer in the rear. Also had to clearance some of the upper ball joint bolt end in the front to prevent tires from touching.
Here is a better side shot:

i went with 18" cause i need a all season tire that can actually go through snow ... so 19" where out as there are no good options ...
for next summer i will have a set of 19s with KDW tires for the rear only as my track tire (only cause i will need the traction of a more aggressive tire like the KDW by then) ... but for daily driving 19"s are only the bomb if you mean the sound they make when the tire pops and the rim splits.
potholes are a Jersey specialty...
