Interesting, isn't it? See my post from June 17th at https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...50&postcount=6
The auto buying public is indeed fickle. The Cayman is white hot, and the Crossfire is quite cold -- even though the vehicles are aesthetically comparable and the SRT6 is more powerful than the Cayman S. And the dual exhausts somehow seem more pleasing than the single pipe, too.

Too true, and a "cayman" is defined as "[a]ny of various tropical American crocodilians of the genus Caiman and related genera, resembling and closely related to the alligators." A "crossfire," on the other hand, is defined as "a lively or heated interchange of ideas and opinions." Even a sheep might prefer the latter.

very nice shots andrew. i wonder if the porsche forum would appreciate this (or if they'd be angry)!

and maxxm, FWIW, the Cayman S has dual exhaust tips, the 'regular' Cayman has a single.

That's just classic beauty at it's best. Don't dare compare that to a dog taking a dump! ...

Well, at least Jeremy Clarkson is consistent with his idiocy. I just sat through his "Top Gear" review of the Cayman S, which he derisively calls the "Coxter." And as for the rear styling, he hated it and screamed that "it looks like a kangaroo." Maybe he should get a life.

A friend of mine was selling a car at the LA Antique Auto Show and Swap Meet a little over a week ago. They also had an area for exotics and specifically for Porsche. When I pulled up to the parking entrance the attendant asked for $100 for entry. Amazed that others were paying $10, I asked why $100! As he walked from the side of the car to the rear He replied "...well, you're driving a Porsche aren't you?...OH...This is a Crossfire!...Sure looks like a Porsche. $10 please!..."

True he maybe should get a life, but it's no secret that Clarkson hates Porsche. Only one he ever gave a good review about was the Carrera GT.
