The SLK is a current (2006) model that has not had a sales year gap like the Crossfire has
DC has not announced any for of end-of-life on the SLK.
MB dealers sell and service the SLK and more important, actually want to.
MB dealers and customers understand what kind of car the SLK is. Chrysler dealers just want to get rid of them.
I think there are a lot of buyers scared away by Chrysler's attitude (or lack of) towards the Crossfire.
Everything considered the Crossfire sales numbers are amazing. Those buyers have to be hard core to buy one.
Re: August Crossfire Sales.
I work as a service manager at a Chrysler dealership. We still have one '05 SRT6 and no regular Crossfires. They have dropped the price of the SRT6, but no ones looked at it in months and the last couple that did bought a Corvette. A Corvette, they're a dime a dozen. I talk with all Crossfire owners that come in for service and the all LOVE their Crossfire. Some have traded in BMW's and Vette's to get there Crossfire. I think poor T.V ads and lack of knowledge to the public cost this car sales. Also, everyone that asks me about my Crossfire thinks I paid $45,000+++ for it. I just say,It's worth the money that I paid for mine".
Re: August Crossfire Sales.
The SRT6 stickers for $45,695 and they are looking to get $41,000 for it. Chrysler is offering $4,000 additional in rebates taking it to $37,000 or you can take 0% for 72 months.
I've only serviced one SRT6, because the other one is still sitting on the lot, and about 7-8 reg Crossfires. We've had no major problems with either.
We have replace one a/c evaporator coil, the tech loved that, one drivers heated seat and one air pump for the locks that kept running. Other than that just regular maintenance.

Are you sure on the 0% for 72 months? The dealer I bought my '04 coupe from also has one '05 SRT sitting on the lot. During a recent sales event, I went in to see if I could take advantage of the current DC offers and they quoted me $41K with no standard financing rates.
