$3,000 worth of repairs
$3,000 worth of repairs
Alright I took the XFire up to Idaho in May. When I got back and I washed the car I noticed a ton of rock chips all over the front bumper, headlights, foglights, windshield, windshield surround, hood and the left and right front fenders. I deployed shortly after I got back from Idaho and the wife didn't really want to deal with the insurance company and try to get this stuff fixed, so I called them when I got back. The insurance adjuster quoted me at around $3,000 worth of repairs. I know there was a lot of damage but I didn't expect this much.
Re: $3,000 worth of repairs
Welcome to Idaho. You thought Idaho was the potato state, nope it's the chip state and don't mean potato chips either. Sorry to hear about all the damage. This is why I invested in the 3M bra and when on trips run the Chrysler bra too. Even with all that protection I ended up with three chips in the windshield, one on the hood, one on the passenger door, one the gas door, and a broken fog lamp. I've become quite proficient with the Langka paint chip repair procedure and the Wal-Mart $9.99 windshield repair kit (usually get 3-4 repairs out of it).
Re: $3,000 worth of repairs
Yeah i used to live in Idaho and I used to go to college in Twin Falls but I don't remember having so many of those stupid Rock Trucks on the high way. Oh well I'm going to get the 3M bra along with the Chrysler Bra for trips as well I would rather come away with only a couple of chips rather then have my front end look like someone did a bad job of sand blasting it.
