Finally a proper dyno...
So, Dryft Motorsports down here in Harrisonburg, VA have finally been able to get a dyno run with/out limiters. I will post a link of the video, and a scan of the dyno chart when I get the time. How where we able to get full throttle out of the engine on the dyno? Well, we lifted one front wheel slightly off the ground, enough for someone to spin the wheel freely. Once someone can spin the wheel over 10 mph, and once the rear wheels start to spin, all limiters seem to shut down. The result? 168.19 rwhp at what seems to be (I am reading off the graph to the best of my abilities) 5,230 rpm, and 178.29 rw ft-lbs of torque at well, between 3,250 - 4,500 rpm. The torque band is very flat, but it varies slightly between that range of rpm values. When I was driving the vehicle on the dyno, I went well over 6,100 rpm, and I let off at 6,300. I was very surprised, but I let off at 6,300 because I was just getting worried. It seemed like the engine could of gone further if I wanted to though. The graph seemed to have stopped at 6,300 rpm's as well.

I don't think it wise to argue with success, but I have to ask..wasn't that a scary thing to do? I don't care if the rears were on a dyno or not, the thought of holding a car off the ground while under power and hand spinning the wheel seems quite hazardous. I wonder what the shop's insurance agent would think of that stunt.
Okay, with that piece out of the way...who thought of that solution? Talk about thinking outside the box, that idea is far out of the box. Congrats to your testing team for doing the, until now, impossible.

I think the Shcricks racing cams might get you into 190 HP maybe a tad more. Remove the Cats and cat back, replace the restricted intake near the MAF you could possibly reach 210 hp, do a little chip tuning and you might make 215 hp but I'm just guessing.
What where your numbers on Torque?
And what gear where you in while doing the dyno?

very glad to see you got this done. but correct me if i'm wrong, isn't 170 whp on a 215 hp car actually a 21% drivetrain loss. if that's the case, daimler should give us some of our money back, like ford did with the cobras. because that's bs. no wonder people are only running high 14's.

I have a 6-speed. I was in 4th gear during the pull. The car was strapped down as firm as can get, and the rear was strapped down using a "cross" pattern to reinforce the tightening. We tried our best to be as safe as possible. As mentioned before, torque was maxed at 178.29 lb-ft at the wheels, with over 175 lb-ft available between 3,250 and 4,750 rpm.
The idea came up from the fact that over 10 mph, I am able to rev the engine to max rpm, w/o any limitations, when both wheels are spinning at 10 mph. Earlier on, I posted that I tried to dyno my car before, w/o success. On the previous attempt, we disconnected the rear speed sensors, but the car was still limiting itself to only 4,200 rpm (no front wheels moving). We noticed that the speedo was not moving during those attempts either. From then on, we needed to figure out a way to have the front wheels moving over 10 mph to disengage the limiter. Before these successful runs, we had both wheels off of the ground, and people where spinning the wheels to see how the speedo will react, with the rear wheels spinning at 10 mph too (no acceleration, just a very gentle, gradual increase to 10 mph). We noticed that the speedo only needs one wheel to be spinning to engage the speedometer, so we removed one wheel from being in the air, and we were able to go full throttle without any real stability problems at all.

one more thing also, its really weird that your peak power came so low. i would figure it would be way closer to 6,000 rpm than 5,000 rpm where you would find peak power.
Peak HP at 5,230 rpm sounds about right to me.
