Winter Coming
Well today was the last day my Xfire was on the road this year.
Yes I know there is one more weekend but I will have to work all next weekend, you know that end of mouth thing.
It has been a great summer with my sweetie. I went autocross racing and did well.
Could have been a better summer if we didn't have that flood where I work and spent a lot of time on cleanup.
The place looks a lot better and we are getting up to 100%.
Hope all of you had a good summer and let people know what you did.

Re: Winter Coming
So essentially your saying that your Crossfire is going into "hibernation", correct?
Sorry to hear that, I'm sure we're going to have a few more good days left around here to enjoy the Crossfire before I take mine off line.
I usually drive it until the first snow, but since we've already had a "freak" snow fall around here early this year, I'm extending the cut off line a little.
Make sure you tuck it away nice and safe.

You don't think I'd still have my first brand new car (a 1969) if I had driven it in the winter do ya?
I really like my Crossfire, and I'd like to keep it looking good and original for as long as I can. So that means when the bad weather shows up, my car goes inside for a long winters nap.
Re: Winter Coming
My wife and I went to Niagara Falls on the 13th for our anniversary. I had been looking forward to taking the Crossfire, but when they said there was 2 ft of snow in Buffalo we left it safely tucked away in the garage. Took a ride over to Sharon, Pa. yesterday just to get it out. This is going to be a hard one to leave alone, and I know there will be a lot more nice days, but like you say when the salt trucks come out it will have to go into hiding.

Re: Winter Coming
Well I could say. "I feel your pain" but that would be a lie. Here in south Texas we don't really have a winter time. My Crossfire runs year round. But look at it this way, you will have lots of time to clean and polish. Look for new mods and parts, and plan those spring road trips. Hope you all have an easy winter, Be safe out there in the snow and ice.
