Default hard shifting

does anyone have a problem with reverse and 1st gear when they drive? it just happens when my car has been sitting for a while. But after 10/15 min. it shifts normally.

Manuals are smoother when they warm up, based on my experience. Fluids and such have a chance to circulate and warm up.

That happens when the tranny is cold. More so when it is still new as well. If you'll look at your owner's manual, there's a paragraph or two on the very subject. The more miles you put on it the smoother it will get.
