Default Rcm solder repair question

I recently had my mechanic friend perform the solder repair on the RCM. The posts were showing through the original solder and my crossfire would only start in a.m., once the outside temp rose I could not start.

My question is after we re soldered he test the connections with a volt meter. On the "A" points 2 and 3 have continuity even though we can not see any solder touching. Are these two connections supposed to have continuity? I don't want to re install the rcm and burn something else up. Forgive my ignorance.
