Regarding the cup holder, has anyone determined why the latch stops working and it stays in the open position? I just ordered a new replacement but I think it may be DOA. I haven't installed it yet, but just out of the box there's nothing to hold the top down. It doesn't latch onto anything. Either it's already broken, or it attaches to something inside the console after installation. Does anyone know how it works?

Thanks for the information on getting the cup holder out! It took awhile but finally came out. Appreciate the time you took to post the information and pictures!

I did the same without removing the entire console. I did not disconnect anything either. I painted mine silver to match the interior. looks great Do it.

I wanted mine back to original, with cup holder then added a wind restrictor! Can't wait for nice weather to drive it! Really like the look the wind restrictor gave my car!

We have answers that make no sense when they are not connected to a quote from the post they are referring to. Makes sense to them I guess, we are seeing more of this these days.
We have people asking how to fix the cup holder That will not stay down but the very first post gives one fix.
The bin can be removed by pinching the two sides toward the centre.
