Question Any Solutions for Foggy/Clouded Headlamps/lights?

Any suggestions on how to deal with foggy/clouded headlamps?

Does anyone know if a clear plastic cover is sold or does one need to purchase the entire headlamp assembly set?

If the complete assembly kit is necessary, any suggested places who sell the headlamps and an average price?

I just did my passenger side headlight last week. I bought the kit off of Ebay a couple of years ago for another car. It works great. You have to sand down the headlight lense with 220 grit to 2000 grit in 7 steps with wetsanding. Then use the buffer that comes with it to polish it clear( Use your own drill ). All of the sandpaper, buffer, cleaners, polishes and levelers comes with it. It takes about 10 to 20 minutes for each headlight. It is called the Viking Headlight Lens Restoration Kit. Their phone number is 866-390-9285. Webisite is www.HeadlightCare.com . I just checked on Ebay and it is now call Blue Ice Headlight Restorer. Same stuff, new name.

Good Luck and if any questions, just ask, Allan

I just stopped yesterday at my local Chrysler dealer. They said that you have to buy the whole assembly. Each side was priced at $514.

Spent an hour or so on the internet looking for lens but nobody knows nothing about our cars.

Sure hope someone can prove me wrong here. Would be ecstatic to give somone 100 bucks a pop for fresh lens.

No reason to spend $500 on new lights. Follow the link above. Works great. I added a protective tint from www.rvinyl.com and have had no more hazing problems.

The Viking Kit, as mentioned above, is under $40 plus shipping and it works great also. I know that sometimes on Ebay, you get scammed from their stuff, but this is the real deal. It's easy to do and you don't have to remove the headlight assembly to repair it. Sure you have to do a little work, but compare that to over $500 each, it's a no brainer.

Good luck, Allan
