Re: Garage Queens! How Often Should You Drive Your Car??
I keep my 73 challenger inside too many days so I use a battery tender and have added and an accumulator that I made for the oil system. Now I start up after the oil gauge hits 20 psig , then I hit the key. Woody
I dont like a dry bearing start.

I will add my voice to those already stated - here are my rules for my Crossfire that i am now driving about once a month - (1), i keep Sta-Bil in the gas and i keep the tank full, partly because Oregon puts 10% ethanol in all their gas - (2), i keep a battery buddy hooked up all the time - (3), i try to drive it at lease once a month - (4), the drive has to be long enough to get everything warmed up, seals expanded, tires round again, etc. - my normal drive is about 15 miles each way, although weather permitting i occasionally take drives of a hundred miles or so - (5), it is always cleaned when i get back home - sometimes it's washed, sometimes i use speed shine, sometimes it's waterless car wash - but it's always cleaned - (6), even though mine is in a fairly well insulated garage it is always covered with a dust stop car cover - (7), it isn't practical to do an oil change after every drive but i do at lease two a year.
As staed by others there is no set formula for this type of short term storage coupled with monthly drives but i have used this formula for years on many different brands of cars and have never had a problem caused by storage.
