I'm a heavy footed six speed.
But I'm not stock.

I get just shy of 30mpg on the highway with the top up. Way, WAY less with the top down. I keep my car at the speed limit when I am running alone on the highway - yellow is too easy for the police to spot in a pack!!!

Thumbs up Re: How many miles per tank do you get? - 02-27-2010 , 01:11 AM

I usualy get over 24 mpg with combined city/highway. Never took a long trip to figure what all freewy driving would deliver. Crossfire is a 2004 NA coupe with auto trans. Really the car gets pretty good gas milage for a sports car.

My wife's 2005 Lexus ES330 only averages in the 17 mpg range, maybe because she only uses low octane reg.gas and drives like a Banshee. Again, no long trips to see if the highway gas mpg would even hit 24 mpg on a trip.

I call my xfire, the "economy'" car Both our cars are very nice drivers.

I get about 250 miles until the last mark. Once it passes the mark and goes into the red... I might get 30-50 more if I baby her and run it all out. I average about 20mpg

I don't count the MPG, just too much work. But I do count the SPG (smiles per gallon), and that's about a million.

SPG is inversely proportional to MPG. If you try hard enough you could probably get sub 20 mpg (real fun), & if you try hard enough you can probably get 30 mpg.

So I guess, mine is just like the others. I DO have a heavy foot. i dont go to 6k often but i go to 4k RPM almost everytime i shift. She isn't that quick so i need to rev it a little more than usual to get her going.

My SSB got right at 24MPG on two 3000 mile trips. I havent checked the Aero, but I expect that it is closer to the 18 - 20MPG range....

I managed 298 miles on that tank in my SRT6. I did make it to the gas station in my town too.

I hate having to get off the interstate to get fuel and then get back on. I also don't like paying for Gas in Nashville either.

SC'c just can't get the milage of the NA. Spinning so much extra useless machinery.

THe SSB's will get lower milage cause they are faster than the Aero Blues.

Statisticaly speaking of course.

I refuse to "nurse" mine while driving. Thus, I get about 22-25MPG average.

franc,
You got that backwards... the SSB gets better mileage because the Aero is faster....

My '04 SSB coupe got 30MPG.... then I traded it for the Aero....

My SRT has gotten as low as 14/15mpg in winter mode doing just back and forth to work...

But normally i get 20-22mpg on a full highway tank... nothing better than that.

According to the spreadsheet you should let mom drive more often. She gets better mileage.
