He was "pissed" that someone knew true wholesale. FULL retail on KBB is $11,600 or so---He's just mad!!!! I would tell him "I'll leave it"----There's more for less money!!!! His reason for the higher price is weak. A $200 buy fee and trans from the auction is low. How much reconditioning was needed on a 34k car? How "rough" was this car? He did not spend $500 over the bid price on that car. PLUS being a 6spd, he got it that much UNDER avg wholesale, OR he does not know how to buy which may be the case. These cars MOVE SLOW---REAL SLOW. I have sold six so far, and they do not move that fast, but I buy them right and I like driving them, so I am okay with two plus months of sale time.

Edit: One member just posted a lower price on an 04 with 10,800 miles for $11,400---cheaper with a 3rd the miles. Better deals all around---let this one go!!!!!!

"I just sent you a copy of what that car is selling for. Around $9500. That does not include auction buyer fee of $300 and transport of $250, so that makes it $10,500. I paid $10,400 for mine because it was very clean and spent money on oil change and inspection plus detail so I have $10,600 in the car. The least I can sell a car for from that year is for $1000 profit. So my final offer is $11,600. This is more than fair. "

what do u fellow crossfire owners think

I do not understand. Is this from the dealer? If so, I think he is lying or over paid for his car. Overpaying happens some times; I did it and still do. That does not mean that YOU have to over pay just because he did!!!! If we are talking the same car---the price is $9700 by his own words---that's it!!! (around $9500 plus fees which are high)

Did you see the one on here for asking $11,400 with 10,800 miles. Much better deal!!! If you buy the car at $11,000---ALL WIN!!!!! You'll pay a grand more for 25,000 less miles--same year.

At this point, I would just stop dealing with him at all. Keep looking and you will find a better deal. This guy is trying to pass on his mistake of paying to much on to you.

It DOES NOT MATTER what he has in the car! He is in too deep. You do not need to pay-up for his mistake. Where were you when I was in too deep? Just joking, but do you get my point? Sometimes in business you lose money and I think this is one UNLESS he is a "good" salesman. I have told you what the car is worth, but you do not like what I am saying. I have backed it up with numbers. 6 spds sell for less---about $500 or so. Look at my earlier post avg wholesale which these car sell at is $8800 with your miles plus the fees and a wholesale profit would be $9,700 maybe $9800---that's all it's worth, and calling it an automatic. If he paid more---his problem---not yours, unless YOU overpay. Look at the poll---most say there are better deals.

Like I said, the one on here would be a better deal @$11k, but I have only sold a couple of thousand cars so I am still learning LOL!!!! If you need more help, let me know, but never fall in love with a car that you can EASILY replace---which you can with the Crossfire. You give up the power to walk away---he's got you!!!!!

when i saw it first time i thought it was a bentley and then i checked the price for it and i said to myself
i can get this instead of a 350z which i was interested in at that time.

Be nice and send him a fax (power of the printed word) for $9700 but no more. NOT even doc fees which a dealer can add $300 or so dollars. And the look around. A lot of NICE Crossfires out there. They were $35,000 cars for 04, so most buyers took care of them---a lot of nice ones, so keep the power to walk and look around and save a grand or two LOL!!!!!!!!!! It will be fun and save money, plus you'll learn about these cars.

Edit: Stay with the Crossfire over the Z. The Z a great car, but having driven these for years, I am still getting asked about this car. You WILL NOT be sorry!!!!!
