It's strange you mention the golf clubs fitting in the trunk as I am going away with some friends for a golf and cards weekend and I have upset the logical pick up order as I told them the clubs will not go in my car. I have to be picked up rather than leave the car at another guys house and be picked up with him.
When the car appeared at the stealership that my wife worked at, the salesmen inspected the car and decided that the ultimate test was that if the car would accept a set of clubs it was OK. It actually passed this test, I own that actual car, which went unsold for twenty months, how they did it I have no idea. The clubs did not go in the front seat, they went in the trunk, but don't tell my buddies as I prefer it stay in the garage.
PS
The bag had the clubs inside it, so I guess its possible.

Two sets of clubs, week end luggage for two, and a few bags of snacks easily fit in the trunk of the coupe. The key is to take the driver and three metal out of the bag and then slide them in last, on top. It is amazing how much stuff you can get in there if you think it out. When you get there it is always the coolest car in the lot, parked way out at the end all by it's self.
