Crossfire Mileage/Kilometer Help
Crossfire Mileage/Kilometer Help
Hey,
Im thinking to buy a Crossfire Coupe. Sadly im on a budget so i "just" have ~6000€. Ive looked around my city and saw a few Crossfireˋs but all with ~250.000km (150.000 Miles) on them. They are all 2004 to 2006 Cars.
Are they still good to drive for another 25.000km - 50.000km (15.000 Miles - 30.000 Miles)?
Are Crossfireˋs reliable and "cheap" to fix (Ive read that the crossfire is based on the Mercedes Benz SLK) maybe i can let the engine get changed when it breaks down if its not too expensive.
If it helps live in Germany.
Thanks for your help!
Sincerely Crossfirebuyer2023
Edit: Thank you all for your help i have a test drive next friday with a Automatic Crossfire from 2004 with luckly "only" 180.000km (115.000 Miles) for ~7500€ i know a bit over budget but maybe i can push down the price a bit.
Is there anything to look out when i drive it test?

Re: Crossfire Mileage/Kilometer Help
Expect to replace the water pump, belt tensioner and idler pulley several times before you get to 250,000 miles/330,000 km. I would not be surprised to see the power steering pump fail before 250,000 miles as well.
The engine and car itself are good for as much as 300,000 miles/450,000 km or more.
