There's a small, local dealership that has an 04 alabaster automatic coupe with the salmon interior listed for $9k near my house, so I decided to go check it out and all I can say is that it REALLY made me appreciate the few small flaws in my car... The driver's interior door handle was falling off, the dash was all beat up, the rims were chewed up, the speaker covers in the doors were cracked, the windshield was chipped, it needed a ball joint badly, the brakes were worse than those on my Jeep, and the body roll could cause sea sickness. That being said the body was somehow in pristine condition (though a little dirty), and even the headlights were near perfect.

I was considering buying it to swap over parts in better condition than mine and then sell it for a small profit, but I don't see that being a possibility. At least I left feeling better about my own car.

Oh yeah... the cupholder was busted too

 

It sounds like they are charging too much. I bought an '04 coupe back in October 2010 with ~20k on the odometer for $10k. The car had a few minor cosmetic flaws (scratches, etc., that could be buffed out).

If you are really interested in a 2nd Crossfire, keep your eyes open. You should be able to find a decent one in that $9-$11k range.

 

Yeah I was thoroughly unimpressed. It also had 108k on the odometer I believe.
