Default New Look for Engine Cover

Wanted to drop in and say hi to everyone..Hope our South Florida friends survived Charlie without too much damage..Still showing the Xfire and doing really well. Had some custom artwork done to the engine cover and it turned out nice..I'd like to get some imput on what some of you think..Check out the pic in my album and let me know..Be nice !! I know some are dead set on not changing anything on the car..I wanted to do something different...I can always go back silver if needed later..
Working on another change and will post it soon...
Gotta run..

Tony

It looks great Tony! Congrat.s on all the awards. I showed mine twice and took first in class each time and second in show once. Then I got involved with autocrossing and haven't had time for any shows since.

Thanks guys..I was really worried when I first handed the cover over to this guy but he came through. I admit he has done some incredible artwork..Was wanting to dress it up without being tacky..I think this was a nice touch to a already gorgeous machine..I appreciate the comments. Have an artist working on some vinyl graphics to see how they look.He took a pic of the car and will impose the graphics on it..This will let us tweak and change things before creating them..When I get it, I'll post it here for your opinion. They will be the same color silver as not to make it overpowering (probably tribal flames)..Hope everyone is doing well and your Xfire is performing to your expectations...Thanks again to all of you for the tips and advise. Its nice to have the wealth of knowledge within this forum..(you know who you are)
Gotta fly...

You should let the guy airbrush the bonnet (hood?!) so the artwork can be seen without having the bonnet raised.

I can't see me trusting anyone to do that to mine though.

Tony, Art work is first class. I want to do something like that to mine. Will it hold up in the heat of the eng bay?

I was very nervous to let ANYONE touch my baby but it turned out fine..I think I'd worry more if I autocrossed like Wes..That would test my stress points to the max...As for heat..I had the guy use a high end automotive paint and then shoot 3 coats of poly clear over it..We may go back and add a couple more coats..I want something on the hood but not sure just yet..Just dropped it off this morning to my graphics man..He's going to put on something he's been working on to show me..If I don't like it, he's take it off..I'll post tomorrow for everyone's comments..Talk about nervous.....this custom stuff is going to kill me..
If I survive the day, I'll post it if its worthy..

Hey Jimbo...How's things in PC this summer ? You are right about the windows, not tinted..Its on my list to do but have not had time to schedule it yet..I'll get the info for the airbrush artist on here a little later..All the info is at home on my desk...He cut me a decent deal because I show the car and said I'd send him some work..It's not cheap but well worth it for me..
