Did you happen to get one on a fantastic lease deal? I saw these being advertised all over the place but think I've missed the boat! The idea of a Xf for 199+Vat per month on a 12 month contract seemed too good to be true. I think it was!

Okay, I'm from the states and never heard "besotted" before. What does that mean :?:

Basically, 'in love with'. For example, you often hear somebody say 'he's besotted with her' when referring to a man and his wife/girlfriend.

Alas no. Seems all the deals are done. My dealer wouldn't entertain any sort of deal on an '05 MY car, and the only '04s they had I wasn't interested in (I just look at Blaze XFires and think there's a big neon sign above them saying, "please Mr Plod I would love to be pulled" so I bought their demonstrator instead. Ironically it was the exact spec. I was going to buy anyway.

I didn't realise that "besotted" was obscure, but thanks for replying on my behalf.

Aardvark,

Glad you like the car. I was on the M40 yesterday travelling to Oxford - nice road when it is clear.

I'm hoping that some of the UK owners will be able to join me at Billing Aquadrome this weekend. The PT Cruisers Club have kindly said we can join their annual picnic. The UK Viper Club will be there.

You are most welcome to join me (us?).

english_bob - Great idea but unfortunately the carpenter will still be at work over the weekend - finished by Friday he said, yeah, right :wink:

Don't be fooled by the M40, it's the most school holiday dependant road I know off. Late July to early September it's great, any other time; "please allow extra time for your journey" :lol:

And while I'm at it, be particularly careful on the A43, it's camera/speed trap central. I saw a sticker in a window up that way that said "Welcome to Northants - land of the stealth tax". :evil:

Have fun
A

p.s. english_bob? Your surname's not Shilling by any chance?

Welcome Aardvark. I'm in Berkshire and go down the M40 occasionally. I've been sat on the M25 today in cr*p traffic.

Unfortunately I can't do this weekend either. I really wanted to come but other things came up.

Hi all you Southerners

Saltire (St Andrews Cross) is feeling lonely. I have only seen one other Crossfire in Bonny Scotland since I got mine. So have fun down there, I'll just keep looking!!

Saltire,

Was in Stirling not so long ago for my cousin's wedding. Travelled up on the train though (so I could consume alcohol and not worry about losing my licence).

If I pop back up to see her, I will look out for you.

Mr Plod = Police Officer ?
Besotted = In love with.
Bloke = Person you admire?

No lordpercy, first time my baby touched the M25 was yesterday, J16 to 11. Marvellous piece of road, contra-flow, 40 limit, and cameras every 8 feet. OK, maybe they're not that close.

pelked1, I think the sarge answered your queries, and managed to age me quite well - damn'!

BTW can some kind soul tell me how to quote properly please. I do the quote thing, but I never get the reference to whom I'm quoting. Ta

Are you just clicking on the "quote" box when you do the reply? You hit the "quote" box of the person you want to quote. That should do it :wink:
