I was contemplating changing the silver plastic on my centre console. Surfing around I found this place www.woodtrim.com who do all sorts of stuff for dashboards and whatnot.

I assumed as it was in the US that they would only supply LHD stuff, so I e-mailed them to find out. Much to my surprise, here is their reply:

We can special order a right-hand drive but we need you to view our shadow sheets and tell us which pieces would need to be mirrored.

When ordering this kit online tell us in the comments area by the letter which pieces would need to be mirrored to make it a right-hand drive.

Thanks.
Ray

BTW I did ask Ray if I could post his reply before I did it!

Carbon Fibre would be nice, going for the carbon outside flashes to cover the 3 stripes by the front wheel. Would like to carry on that theme !

Thanks Dan, but when I go here http://www.exoticwooddash.com/bit2.asp I can only find RHD kits for the PT Cruiser, no XFire stuff.

I decided to actually read the site. There is a link on their FAQ to a set of installation instructions. Lo and behold, it explains in great detail how to stick the new stuff on.

Amazing what I can learn if I can only be bothered to read something!

looked at the web site and read the FAQ. here is what I found.

Can I install one of yours kits over my factory installed trim?:

Installing one of our kits over your factory installed trim is not recommended. Our kits are designed to go over the flat areas of your dash and doors where there is not any OEM trim. We probably have a factory match kit for your car or truck which will complement your factory installed trim. Our factory match trim will complement but not replace your OEM factory installed wood trim.

I am still not sure if this is a direct replacement or goes over the existing trim.

If it goes over not sure if I would be intrested. If replacement OOOO YAAA. That would work for me.
