I WENT TO THE SITE COULDNT FIND THE CROSSFIRE ANYWHERE. WOULD LOVE TO FIND SOME MORE HP.

 

Crossfire and SLK 320 are the same if you do not know. Crossfire have mods with Kleemann, Startech and Renntech under SLK 320. All of them are Merc tuners.

 

2 questions:

Who's going to be the first to try this?

How much labor is involved with installing a kit like the one that is mentioned on there?

Yes, it's supposed to work. The price is $8400, plus $1500 installation.
We put several on. They are the best in the Mercedes aftermarket.

I'm curious how they can say "Yes, it's supposed to work" and "We put several on" in the same topic discussion??? Either they've done a Crossfire (or more than one) or not. If they HAVE, I'd ask them if they could forward your contact info to that Crossfire owner and ask if they'd contact you to discuss (as a referral).

 

THIS IS EASILY THE BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK. ALL THE OTHER OFFERS ARE WAY OVER PRICED. DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THE WARRANTY ISSUES WE'D HAVE WITH INSTALLING THIS? IF I KEEP THIS CAR I WILL MOST LIKELY TRY THIS.

RENNTECHS ALTERNATIVE IS 23OOO AND ITS ONLY 73 MORE HP. BRAMBUS IS 15800 AND ITS A COMPLETELY DIF. ENGINE, THEY NEED THE CAR FOR ONE MONTH AND THE HP IS ONLY 280.

I WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE IT THOUGH. IM GOING TO TRY. ILL LET YOU KNOW.

 

If you want to do it yourself or have your mech. do it... The OEM SRT6 Supercharger is available from IHI for appx $4K... Product # S105... Intercooler is made by Garrett but not available as aftermarket product. You will need to purchase from Mercedes dealer as a replacement for SLK32 AMG (plumbing and everything) another $3.5k ... Boost levels will need to be reduced to 6-7psi to prevent your engine from blowing-up... Change 02 sensor, remap ECU $1K... Labor Charges $2K.... Voided Warranty (priceless) Have fun !!!

 

Does the AMG Merc SLK also have upgraded EFI, Oil Pump, Radiator to deal with the extra heat too?

 

Can you just buy the complete SRT6 Engine/ECU Assembly from a Chrysler dealer? Would it work with a 6-Speed tranny?

 

How about a NoS kit?
