So who wants to talk headlights and upgrades for headlights?
So who wants to talk headlights and upgrades for headlights?
Had a chance to visit the dealer this weekend and noticed that the Crossfire - non v.SRT6 - had the Visteon non-HID/Xenon headlights.
Then noticed that it was an easy replacement if you wanted HID.
So the questions are:
How many of you have done an HID upgrade?
What Kelvin?
What are your impressions?
TIA.

I put the 6000k bulbs in the dipped lights, but havenft done the Main beam yet, but would like to.
They look brilliant white, and light up about 3 times as much road. They give a pretty blue tinge to the lights, which looks so sweet when reflected from road signs.
The install was a little bit of a pig, took about 2 hrs, but it is so worth it. The biggest problem was refitting the retaining clip to the light unit; this took about an half an hour of fiddling on both sides. The system was a plug and play; just connect the car harness to the transformer, and then the pre-wired return to the bulbs. I didnft need to remove the head light units, but I did release the radiator reservoir from its mountings on the right hand side to secure the transformer to the body work below.
Ifll post some pictures over the weekend, but would recommend this to anyone thinking about it.
Does anyone know if the Main beam can be replaced with HID units? How does the "warm up" period of HID's effect them being used as the Main Beam? If they can be used what would be the best Kelvin to use for max light and distance?
Thanks
R
