Default 6' 1" Too Tall for coupe?

Just ordered through DC employee lease, a standard coupe, and was wondering how people over 6 feet fit into the crossfire. I'm 21 single, and got a killer deal on the lease, so I couldnt turn it down.

Thanks

Congratulations!

I'm 6'2", about 245, and it's a tight fit, but I can make it...

The fun is worth the effort!

Have fun!

Dave,
I'm 6'2" and really enjoy driving the crossfire. It's a tight fit as I'm sure you are aware. I test drove many cars before buying the x-fire and was quite surprised that I'm not comfortable in many cars that are enormous compared to the XF.

You didn't say how much you weigh. I'm 6'1" 185lbs. I have lots of room. The lack of a tilt wheel makes it harder if you're in the xxl range

wow thanks for the quick replys I weigh in at 220, fair amount of muscle, fair amount of labatt blue. I drove a regular cab dakota, where my leg room was cramped, I am not worried about being comfortable, I'm not leasing a pacifica, i just was worried that I was going to have to crane my head to see out the windshield. But from the sounds of it, I shouldnt have a problem.

Thanks !

I'm 5'4" at 110 lbs and have TONS of room. My Husband is 6'3, 210 lbs and has only been a passenger, but said he doesn't think he could do it for hours at a time. But then, we're not 21, either!
I haven't volunteered to let him drive yet, because if he likes it, I'll never get to drive!!

I'm 6'1" myself but you guys are heffers. JK  I only way 160lbs and also being 21. I fit absolutely fine in the car no problems at all. Only complaint i have is that my hair i sometimes have long spikes a few inches long. If i turn my head my spikes will hit the side of the roof which really tees me off messes up my hair  And thats uncool lol

You should have no problem. I am 6'2" and 220. I have amble headroom and can extend my left leg completely straight. Mind you there is not a lot of play left with the seat. the one small problem is if you want to rest your arm out the window. Since the seat is at it's lowest it is awkard to put your arm out.

You mentioned the Labatts Blue. Are you one of the few on the forum from Canada?

Regarding your "red light" comment...be prepared to have to dip your head in order to see the lights because of the low profile of the windshield...at least that's my experience.

Not much of a problem, but if that's a concern, you might want to consider it.

Fritz,
I have that same problem when stopped at a traffic light, even though I'm short. When the top is down, I have to look either over or under the window frame to see the light change. It must be because I have the seat moved forward so I can reach the throttle, then it puts my view about the same as someone taller with the seat all the way back?

no, I live in detroit, well just outside detroit, but goto school there. Labatt costs the same as american beer this close to canada, and I mean come on, nothing beats the blue. Love Windsor though, awesome border town.. party hardy equals tardy.

I'm a grand 173cm (5ft 8" in real height) and even I have problems at traffic lights. I have to stop before the line to see the lights or duck down (which looks uncool) to see. Made even worse when the visor is down.

It just takes time to get used to the positioning.

I'm 6' 1" and I'm ok in the car. I'd agree with English_bob though, Traffic lights are a pain and you do have to duck to see them.

Im almost 6'4, 260 and I fit decently in the crossfire. I've taken it on an 8 hour trip with no problems, could probably go another 8 hours. I hit my head sometimes on the headliner, but if you put the seat all the way down and back, it's not that bad. Anyway I'm probably the tallest xfire owner around.

I was also surprised to see I actually fit WORSE, in bigger cars I test drove, like the BMW 6 series, and even the 3...

It might just take some getting used to, if you are coming from a truck or something. I actually prefer small cars, wierd huh.

LOL - this was my first thought before leasing my Crossfire. If I can fit in the car comfortably, then just about anybody can. I'm 6'1" or slightly taller with big bones. I'm used to Lincolns, Cadillacs, and Full-Size Trucks. This is my first import and I have no problems; seats are comfy and head room is OK - not much margin for error, but acceptable.

Isn't Jeremy Clarkson 6'4"? Maybe that's one reason he doesn't like the XF.
