Default Tire Wear

Hey everyone..........got 5,000 miles on my xfire now and I'm noticing feathering on the outside edges of my front Contis. The vehicle seems to track straight and true. Anyone else experiencing this kind of wear? None of the Chrysler dealers within 30 miles of my home have equipment to do an alignment on this car!

The Z's were having issues with tire feathering. I don't think the alignment was the problem there, though. I think they had camber issues.

If you car can maintain a straight line without much effort, yet the tires are still feathering, that would lead me to believe that the alignment isn't the issue here. I don't know for sure, though.

Took my car to the dealer to have wheels aligned after hiting a curb (no damage to rem, tire or suspension) (very Lucky) dealer said everything was ok. The car ran true but, I didn't trust the dealer at all so I took the car to a Indepentant specialist performance shop and guess what?? car front end was out of alignement. Rear end is out slighty but there is no adjustment for this.

My advise, take it to a Indepentant not the dealer. The price is well worth it.

Just got mine back on Friday. It was out of alignment and my Conti's had cupped in the rear.
Dealer realigned the car and did a side to side rotation to try and even out the wear pattern and take some of the noise out of it. The rotation did help a bit with the noise problem. I could notice the difference in alignment, although it wasn't that far out at the steering wheel before it went in. It does track better now than before it went in. Find a good independent shop if your dealer is short in equipment.

Default Tire wear

You have free tire rotation and balancing, tracking up to 10,000 miles, I'd ask the dealer to deal with the issue.. or have it recorded.
