Default OK.....who was at Skyline!!!

I know it had to be some of you from on here!!!! Not sure if any of you remember me but early this summer I was bound and commited to getting a Crossfire, but just something about the LSx V8s from my C5 and then Z06 that I missed. So I ended up with a GTO and I have no regrets with the decision!

Anyway, I was out with all my Fbody friends this past weekend at Skyline and just as we were pulling out of the one lookout what do I see in my mirror..... 5 xfires pulling up and cutting in our caravan  :P

I was the one and only GTO there and the first one to pull over and let them by just to get them past the few of us at the front so that we could keep all 30 of us together 8)

Anyway, here is a shot of the xfires at the Skyland stop and a link to the rest of my pics from the day.

Shaq Finger:

The Pontiac GTO is sweet. I had actually narrowed my choices down to the Crossfire and GTO, but I commute, so the GTO's gas mileage concerned me. The GTO is fast; much faster than our X-fires, so it would have been nice to feel that V8 thrust and hear that throaty exhaust. I also think GM did a good job on the interior design - very clean.

I love American muscle cars and I hope to get a C6 in a couple years - maybe the Z06 replacement "blue devil" so I can go hunting for Porsche GT3s and overwound ricers.

29 mpg - damn, that's not bad at all. I do so much driving that I feared a V8 might break the bank (with gas prices being what they are these days).

GM V8s in cars like the F bodies, Vettes and now the GTO have always been in the high 20s with the 6 speed. But this isnt about the MPG I have seen in my past cars. LOL I was trying to find out who these derelicts are!!! :P

I'm nowhere near your area, so wasn't me - maybe somebody that doesn't come to this forum.

That first red xfire I think was REDCROSS, you can tell by the painted red grill and windshield trim.
