I noticed a gash on the door speaker grill yesterday and would like to replace it. Just by looking at the door / speaker assembly: it appears that the silver accent ring around the speaker should be removable to expose the grill / speaker for removal. Can anybody confirm this since I have no manuals on this? I'm just hoping that the entire door inside paneling does not have to be removed for grill replacement! Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

 

Does anyone have a service manual that gives any indication (possibly an exploded view) on how the speaker grill may be removed?

 

The service manual I have doesn't show anything beyond removing the door panel. It doesn't give any indication of how to remove the speaker grill from the panel.
