Thumbs up Re: New Site???

I am trying to get used to the new format.

The responses are too far apart and the lack of colour is 'uninteresting'.

Otherwise, I like the change. Well done mighty!!

I am still working on everything. I will be adding more color to the forum as I work on it. The top menu bar also is going to be redone.

i must say i agree that the new layout looks like it's heading in a GREAT direction. of course the nooks and crannies haven't been worked out yet. so far the only things i've noticed: 1. the space between posts should be eliminated, or at least decreased in size and eliminate the repetition of photos. 2. one or two accent colors should be added, which has already been mentioned about, but i like the overall light gray look. 3. i can't figure out how to quick reply! great job keep it up!

I find it hard to distinguish new posts from other posts. The mail icons need to be more clear.
I'm also not sure how you define a hot post from others. We need to simplify that whole area of imaging posts.
Hopefully you will find this input beneficial from one of the frequent users.

I see how it can be hard to read. I will be changing it. This site right now is a work in progress, and hopefully it will get to a point we can all be happy with.

yeah one thing that might look good is keeping most of the text gray, but the user post's text could be black. maybe some other main things could be black too. but that would create a hierarchy of text and could make it easier to browse.

I still love the old site design, however, this one will work fine with me. Julian just needs to get everything together especially the weblinks and pics.

Nice job Julian and we appreciate your efforts to serve the members of this forum.

I was also having trouble reading on the new site, but just logged on today and the new improved version is GREAT. Easy to read, much more interesting with the colors.

Good job. Thanks for all your hard work.

Cool Re: New Site???

Mighty, I would still like to see those posted identifiers more distinguishable. The difference is too subtle and are the 'hot' ones necessary. Don't understand what is hot and what is not.

mightyjlr, you are doing a great job with the site! The site is great and the member participation is equally wonderful. It is quite a job to maintain a site like this and I'm sure everyone appreciates your dedication and efforts, I do. Thanks! David

Andrew,
Go to the new gallery, and in the upper right corner you should see "Upload Photos". This gallery software is much better, you can upload up to 10 photos at a time, and you can also upload movies. Plus, you can upload larger files. I know it stinks having to do it all over again, but in the end I think it will be better.
