Crossfire VS SRT-10
Crossfire VS SRT-10
I lined up 4 times against an SRT-10 Ram friday night. I beat him off the line by 1/2 car length each time. We only raced to about 45-50mph, at which point we were about dead even +/- a foot or two, which means he was gaining on me slightly, but definatley not as quickly as I had expected.
As far as I can tell, one of two things happened, either he wasn't trying (unlikely, since he was the one provoking me by reving his engine), or he was easing into the gas to keep the tires from breaking loose. If the later is true, what good is 500hp in a pickup truck if you can't get the power to the ground?
In any case, if he had slicks on it and/or we raced to a higher speed, I have no doubt he would have walked all over me. Just thougth I'd share.

Re: Crossfire VS SRT-10
the ram srt-10 actually set the world record for top speed in a truck. i think it was 155mph or something very close to that. i dont know how stable it was at those speeds though. i know of a few ram srt-10s that have run 12.7-12.9 at bradenton, fl. those trucks are amazing.
