Wind noise gone!!!
Wind noise gone!!!
Took my car into the dealer about a month ago to have them fix the wind noise from the driver's side window. They had the car for 8 hours and told me it was fixed. It wasn't, in fact it was worse.
I returned the car to the dealer on Tuesday, they kept it until Thursday. I was told that the tech spent about 4 hours to diagnosis the problem, ordered a part which took almost two days to get and that was installed. I was also told that the very day that tech figured out what was wrong a new TSB was sent to the dealer earmarking that very part.
But the important thing is that it is fixed, it is great not to have that noise in my ear.
So if your dealer is telling you that it is the nature of the car that is BS.

Re: Wind noise gone!!!
Can you describe to me how bad it was originally? I'm driving #6060, and while I get slightly noticable wind noise, it's really nothing too bad. However, if I could totally remove it, I would. It's not overpowering, but a little noticable when your going fast. When you say its gone, is there 0 wind noise at 80 mph? Or is it gone, as in what I'm hearing? (barely any)
Re: Wind noise gone!!!
Did not get the number of the new TSB for wind noise, but I will try and get the info from the dealer and post it.
The noise was very loud. It started at around 50mph and got worse the faster I went. Since I do lots of highway driving it seemed like it was always there. I have driven over 80mph once since getting the car back and there was no noise what so ever. I am one happy fellow.
