Supercharger kits????
Re: Supercharger kits????
It's not just a supercharger on the SRT-6 that separates it from the standard Crossfire. The engine in the SRT has been completely reworked. If you source out all the parts and buy them used/refurbished rather than new, you can install the blower alone (no engine upgrades) for roughly $1500. I've been looking for parts for some time now. There were a couple AMG blowers on ebay selling for around $250, but I was never able to win an auction for one.
In addition to the blower, you'll need some other parts - two AMG intake manifolds (not cheap), the intercooler, coolant lines, new engine cover, and I think there's an adapter for the throttle body as well.

I'm still holding out hope that Ripp will do something, but it doesn't look like they've got plans on deck for at least 3 months. I've also emailed a ton of other companies regarding FI for our cars and no one has expressed an interest - and really, I can't blame them.
Re: Supercharger kits????
Check out Kleemans web page as they put on superchargers on SLKs and now they will put them on Crossfires. Cost $9,500 plus $1,200 for installation. No engine mods to get 330hp. I have a e-mail I recieved from Kleemans about my Xfire so if you e-mail me, I will forward it on to you with all the details. With the chip, they also supply, they say it's 350hp. I don't know a lot about superchargers so how good it is, I don't know. EXFYRED sent me an e-mail about the Kleemans and the Vortech superchargers. I can forward his response too if you like. Maybe we can get EXFYRED to post a bit of information up for all of us. He seems to know a lot about superchargers, boast etc. EXFYRED! You there?
Re: Supercharger kits????
I don't have the part number forthe borla exhaust, but if you give them a call they can hook you up, I think Mopar is selling that catback as well through Mopar Performance your dealer should have the number.
I really don't know how many horses my car is making the chip is rated at 236 HP and 251 lb/ft, add a few of each from the catback but not that many.
I did the catback more for the sound, I really hated the way the engine was muted with the stock setup, the new one get rid of some backpressure, but you only feel it above 4,000 RPM.
