Ok if I wanted to swap engines. How much can I buy just the engines for, installation not included.

What about the
SRT4
SRT6 (currently in the crossfire SRT6)
SRT8
SRT10
LS1 (i have seen some of you hear mention)

Can anyone find or know the prices these engines sale for by themselves. I would love to estimate the total costs of just buying all the parts if I wanted to do a swap.

A LS1 would be the cheapest probably 5-6k done right not new though all else would be 2-3 times that except the srt4 .Cheaper to buy a SRT6.New with warrenty .

 

You can buy an LS1 crate engine for $6K brand new.

I know Viper crate engines are available. I've seen ads in magazines. Any Chrysler dealer should be able to find out prices. It wouldn't surprise me if the price is >$20K brand new. Your best bet would be to shop around for a totaled car.

Since the SRT8 isn't in production yet, I'd say the availabilty of it is zero right now.
