Default Stuck power window

Today I picked up a 2004 Coupe. Took it for an inspection first it checked out great except for driver window is stuck half way down... probably needs regulator replaced.

As luck would have it it's the first rain anyone can remember in Socal today... and the windows is stuck half down. I tried gently pulling it up while running the power window switch but it won't budge.

I'll get it fixed in a day or two but until then...
I wonder how much force I can apply to it before I risk damaging something?

Can you hear or feel that the motor for the window is trying to run?
Maybe it is the circuit or switch that is faulty.

I can definitely hear the motor.
I'm ordering a replacement regulator (with motor), will take a week to arrive.
In the meantime I guess I will use a tarp.

Because the window is frameless it is hard to use duct tape and plastic.
Windows is down about 50%, won't budge.
So much for Dukes of Hazard maneuver.
