Default '04 - Dead Battery - Speakers out - Not fuses or amplifier?

Hi,
Winter sitting resulted in a dead battery. Recharged to get CF to Interstate for a replacement. The radio seems to be functioning but there is no sound in the speakers. We replaced all questionable fuses and checked the fuse in the back of the radio. Ordered a replacement CF "infinity" amp- no change. Does anyone have a tip as to what might be the issue? We were so hopeful the replacement amp would have done the trick.

Thank You for any help you might offer.

No sound from speakers? So what tells you the radio is OK?
The radio display is just a simple display, it does not mean the radio is OK.
Maybe a wire is chewed or the radio has a loose plug.

First, WHERE did you get an amp? Second, did ANYONE simply connect a speaker (or two) to the output of the head unit, feeding the amp? The output of the head is speaker-level going to the amp, very easy to verify if the head is really working.

As Dave has implied above, unless the amp got WET, the most likely item to fail between the amp and head, is the HEAD!

is it the oem headunit?. My aftermarket headunit did that and the only thing that I had to do was a factory reset and it suddenly started to work.

Interesting. It is the OEM radio unit. How did you perform the factory reset? Please tell me more.

Mine is aftermarket like I stated above. I had that happening with the oem unit as well but just pulled the fuse in the panel and put it back and it was working again but from what I read, you did that already.
