Question Key fob replacement case...

I took apart my key fob to put the guts in a new case, just replaced the siren. I can see corrosion on the board. Can this be cleaned up and fresh batteries replaced? I'm not gonna be able to get a new one soon.

And if it can be cleaned, how do I clean it?

WD40 and tooth brush..

(your wife will never realize it).. ..

That would be about as aggressive as I would go.. and should help prevent any more corrosion .

Looks like it got ran through the laundry at one point..

I cleaned it with 99% rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. It didn't remove all the corrosion and I quit rubbing it with the q-tip when I seen some green of the board flake off. It is now working fine, 3 chirps lock, 1 chirp unlock. Should I take it apart and use wd40 on it?

If it ain't broke... don't fix it..?

If it's easy enough to open (non of mine have been).. might crack it open in a month and see if corrosion is coming back or not..
