I'm sure that I am not going to make this one. My daughter and son in law in Italy are having another child at about the same time and we most likely will be heading there again for that. Maybe CAA8.

I just realized that this is the days preceding Chryslers at Carlisle. I really need to think about this. Plus I would need to be back at work on Monday July 18th, that is a lot of driving on the way back. I would take all 16 days, and make many stops on the way out, but the trip home would be rough, 850 miles a day would be dawn to dusk the whole way.
Unless I did a Thursday the 7th through Wednesday the 20th, that would give me several extra days each way, but lose a bonus Saturday and Sunday.

CAA #7 - NWCC (Northwest Crossfire Club) is excited to announce we will be hosting CAA #7 (Crossfires Across America #7) in July 2016.
Based in Yakima, Washington July 11-14th, we plan to have four days of various drives exploring different areas of Washington State…plus many other ideas to keep us all busy when we aren’t driving.
Also, we are considering, for those interested in NOT heading home immediately after CAA…of extending the fun into the weekend and heading over to the Washington or Oregon coast.
We are thinking those of you coming from so far may want to just drive a couple MORE hours and dip your toes in the Pacific Ocean! More information on all of that will come as we start to get a feel for how many might be attending, and as we finalize things up… in the meantime…your motel information is below.
Book your room now!
We hope you plan on coming!

BEST WESTERN PLUS AHTANUM INN
2408 RUDKIN ROAD
UNION GAP WA 98903
509-248-9700

CHECK IN: SUNDAY JULY 10, 2016
CHECK OUT: FRIDAY JULY 15, 2016

40 ROOMS ARE BLOCKED, BEING HELD FOR UP TO A MONTH BEFORE THE CHECK IN DATE.

26 DOUBLE QUEENS
9 KINGS
5 SINGLE QUEENS
GROUP RATE IS $79.99 PLUS TAX
MENTION NORTHWEST CROSSFIRE CLUB FOR THE GROUP RATE
Just bought my 2004 Crossfire Limited Couple 6-speed (Red) yesterday and broke my room for this event 5 minutes ago. Just coincidentally I had booked 7/16-7/20 in Lincoln City, OR for a meeting with some family, so it works perfectly.

I don't know where to let people know who are not from the area and haven't seen the Oregon coast, it's beautiful beyond believe with really great driving highway with plenty of turnouts for slower cars. It's a string of unique and cool little towns strewn down the length of the coast. I've driving it every year for the past 15 years and never get tired of it. Originally planned to ride my Harley this year, but the Crossfire it will be this year. I encourage people to not miss the opportunity. See you all there. Bill

If someone is updating the list of attendees, my brother and his wife (Jim & Kathleen Davis) have made their reservations and will be joining Cindy and myself at CAA#7! It's getting closer and we're getting more excited! We hope no one minds that we'll be renting cars (it's just too far for us to drive out there) so you'll have Crossfire lovers in a Mustang convertible and a Camaro SS convertible tagging along in your groups. We're arriving 07/10 and departing 07/15. Planning to travel down the Pacific coast after this event and spend a full day and night in San Francisco. Hoping we might get a few others to join us for the trip down the coast??

The drive through the Columbia River Gorge to the Oregon coast is also spectacular. To anyone who has never driven the Oregon coast, it's amazing to visit, to drive and I also love it on my Harley. It's a very good road with frequent turnouts so you don't get caught in slower traffic.

Look forward to meeting everyone. Bill

Anybody coming in from the east/Midwest area? I'm still on the fence, but I really want to do this trip.

Hey Drew, nice to know you, and look forward to meeting you soon. Have you talked with Blue about your southerly plans? Spreading the word would help get more people involved. Hell we might even go! Love the Oregon coast in early Summer.

Bill, this sounds very much like my plan after CAA if you are putting something together and don't mind a Jeep tagging along. I want very much to drive/see the Oregon coast on my way down to the redwoods of CA and on to Yosemite. Keep me updated, please.

Driving up from FL but leaving several days early to drive a few fun roads again in Wyoming and then spend a couple of days at Glacier NP on the way. Afterward, I will be heading south to Yosemite and points along the way to the Grand Canyon, eventually finding my way back to FL. Depending on your plans, I could meet you somewhere in the Midwest for the rest of the trip out west.

It is now looking like I will not be attending. I may still take a 2 week drive this summer, but maybe with different destinations. I no longer have my Crossfire, I have a 2005 SLK350 instead. I still might make the trip, but not as likely now. It sounds like a great location and I would like to see it and meet all of you.

Sounds cool to me. Even the drive through the Columbia Gorge to Portland is spectacular. It's going to be a great time. While I'll end up in Lincoln City, i probably will drive much further down the coast depending on what others want to do. LC is only about a third of the way down the coast. Bill
